IT specialist for application development

Three years that are well worth it. The topics covered by the CEWE training syllabus are ambitious: With a high degree of autonomy, you will learn how to successfully plan and analyse EDP systems, apply various programming techniques and create programs, documentation, actual state analyses and software designs. Above and beyond this, we will teach you project management skills.

IT specialist for systems integration

Analysing, planning and realising EDP systems for Europe’s largest photo services provider sounds like an interesting challenge? Then this profession is for you, and in the course of your three-year traineeship, we will ensure that you are optimally prepared. Before long, you will know exactly what hardware and software components you need to use in order to achieve your goals. You will also learn how to set up and manage user dialogues and how to plan projects independently

Mechatronics engineer

During this traineeship, the focus is on the development, manufacture and commissioning of our complex machines and systems. We look forward to welcoming you as a member of our team. And you will learn much more. For example, you will carry out widely varying tasks with mechanical, electronic and pneumatic systems and assembly groups.

In addition, you will learn how to install, test and programme hardware and software components. Later, you will also be responsible for repairing and servicing the machines and systems.

Electronics engineer for devices and systems

You often hear people say “There are many advantages to having an electronics engineer as a friend.” We, too, are always on the lookout for people with an interest in electronics and who want formal training for a recognised occupation. As an electronics engineer, you are responsible for ensuring that our high-tech devices are in perfect technical condition and function smoothly. This includes their development as well as commissioning and servicing. You will gain a knowledge of digital circuits for the creation of electro-technical assembly groups and programmable logic controls (PLCs).

Photographer

You enjoy photography and are interested in the technical functions of a camera? Then the photo studio at CEWE in Oldenburg is the place for you. There, you will learn how to photograph our products to their best advantage. In addition, we will teach you how to film and edit professional advertising videos.  At the end of your three-year apprenticeship, you will know exactly how to use our high-tech equipment to create the shots our customers want and how to edit the results digitally.

Media technician, print

As an apprentice in this trade, you will be at the very heart of CEWE: our production department. And as the name says, you are responsible for the printing side. You will learn skills from setting up our large printing machines to preparing the printing data right through to controlling and monitoring the printing process: in short, the skills which ensure the outstanding quality of our photo products. We will train you to operate state-of-the-art digital printing machines, enabling you to create personalised CEWE products in line with our customers’ wishes.

You are good with your hands and enjoy handicrafts in your free time? Then this is the perfect profession for you. In print finishing, you will fold and bind our CEWE PHOTOBOOK and many other products. To do this, you will plan and organise the respective workflows at the machines. And before long, you will know precisely how to use our devices to produce optimum results which will pass all quality assurance tests.

Plenty of contact with customers and fresh challenges every day: in this profession, you will find all that and more. You have contact with our customers in one way or another every day. During your three-year apprenticeship, you will learn how to advise them, answer their questions and solve problems. You will quickly master the use of all communication channels, such as telephone, e-mail, live chat, social media and even the good old business letter. In addition, you will show guests around the company and gain insights into marketing and accounting.

After completing this apprenticeship, you will know all about the acceptance and inspection of incoming goods in compliance with the requirements concerning the maintenance of value and quality. But you will also quickly learn how to pack goods properly and the correct procedure for handling shipping operations. In addition, you will learn how to organise a high-tech warehouse, plan in-warehouse and logistics processes and ensure that our production sites are kept supplied with “fresh material”.

Welcome to the world of online trading. For this profession, you will familiarise yourself with the digital infrastructure of online sales and learn about all technical and legal developments. In addition to e-commerce, you will perform tasks in widely varying fields such as online marketing, customer service, accounting, the legal department and sales. You answer customers’ questions and prepare offers, ensure smooth delivery and are responsible for processing the respective marketing measures with newsletters. Moreover, you will take care of the ancillary conditions ensuring that online contracts can be processed smoothly.

Media manager

Your training for this profession will allow you to put your commercial skills to good use in various departments and be creative at the same time. You are an important part of the CEWE team, even during your training. In various marketing departments, you will be involved in the creation of editorial copy and web content and help to market our innovative products. In addition, you will learn about exciting commercial and organisational processes in the fields of accounting, sales and personnel. Publishing is also an important part of your training. During a trial internship in a non-fiction publishing house, at training college or while helping to create our customer magazine, you will find out all about layout, copy-editing and the ad business.
